including honors for “Best Mixed Use,”
“Best Office,” and “Best Historic Rehabilitation”.
These are the chief operating officer finalists in our Bay Area C-Suite awards.
The best executives make their companies and communities better.
That’s the premise behind our new C-Suite Leaders awards program. We are celebrating executives from organizations across the Bay Area. The bottom line: A good executive is great for business.
This is the first time we’ve organized these awards.
Over the coming days we’ll announce the finalists across a range of c-suite positions. We’ll announce the winners at an awards gala in San Francisco on Oct. 9.
We're focusing these awards across the following c-suite positions:
- Chief Accounting Officer: includes the official in charge of primary oversight of accounting operations, financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Chief Legal Officer: includes general counsels and the official in charge of primary oversight of legal affairs, compliance and corporate governance.
- Chief Marketing Officer: includes the top executive overseeing marketing, brand strategy and or communications functions.
- Chief Operating Officer: the official in charge of primary oversight of daily operations.
- Chief Product Officer: includes the official in charge of product strategy, development and lifecycle management.
- Chief Scientific Officer: includes the executive in charge of scientific and medical, R&D, policy and regulatory decisions.
- Chief Technology Officer: includes the official in charge of primary oversight and management of computer technologies.
- CXO: This category is open to any other deserving C-suite role, such as chief philanthropy officer or chief sustainability officer.
It is our pleasure to introduce our first batch of finalists.
In the chief operating officer category, we are focusing on operators — leaders driving important work at important Bay Area companies that resonates far beyond this region.
These executives are translating vision into day-to-day operations, building culture, leading teams, getting things done. Often unsung, sometimes behind-the-scenes, now is the time to shine a light on them, their work and their impact.
Here are our finalists in the COO category:
- Sumeet Singh, PG&E, who was featured in our 2015 40 Under 40 list when he was a vice president at the utility;
- Ananth Sridhar, BridgeBio, whom Senior Reporter Ron Leuty spoke to for a recent story about the biotech's latest moves;
- and Lynn Tolin, TMG Partners, who previously appeared on our 2019 list of Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business.
