Drew Thomas, Partner, joined TMG in 2011 and is responsible for the development and acquisition of urban infill, value-add commercial real estate investments throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Drew has over fourteen years of commercial real estate experience, including acquisitions, finance, sales, leasing, and development.

While with TMG, Drew has managed the acquisition, development, refurbishment and leasing of approximately 1.3 million square feet of research and development office space in four South Bay projects totaling 13 properties spanning Sunnyvale, North San Jose and Fremont. In addition, he has lead the historic renovation and releasing of the 200,000 square foot Breuner Building in Uptown Oakland. In total, he has directed in excess of $80 million in capital improvement investments, leased over 620,000 square feet and played a major role in acquisitions and dispositions totaling $460 million.

Prior to TMG: Drew was the managing Associate for Boston Properties’ finance / capital markets group responsible for acquisitions, dispositions, property financings and lease and development underwriting. During his tenure, he directly led the firm’s efforts on over $1.4 billion of transactions, while also managing the firm’s three-person analyst team responsible for portfolio-wide quantitative asset management. Drew began his career in investment banking with Morgan Stanley in New York, NY and subsequently spent six years in various financial and business development capacities with several firms throughout the Bay Area peninsula.

He earned an M.B.A. in finance from the Carroll Graduate School of Management at Boston College and graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Psychology from Washington & Lee University.
